Robert Sarver and Sports Owners



Owners of sports teams should only be forced to sell when significantly hurting the image of their league. Owners who don’t allow their team chances to win, also considerably hurt the appearance of their league by not keeping up with competition and should be forced to sell as well. Phoenix Suns and Mercury owner Robert Sarver has certainly done enough to be forced to sell.


Sarver has been accused of saying the n-word on many occasions by multiple players and employees. Even worse is the work environment that he created, with many describing it as toxic and reporting being “brutal to work for”. Reports of sexism and anxiety caused by Sarver are common among employees. When these stories are made public they certainly have an effect on the image of the league. Certainly, when you are accused of these heinous actions you should definitely have to sell your team.
